Lindsey celebrates President Trump’s first 100 days in office

LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Jonathan Lindsey on Tuesday applauded President Donald Trump’s historic first 100 days in office.

“Since his inauguration, President Trump has prioritized strong America First policy victories. He has fought to rebuild the American economy, secure the border and make America healthy again,” said Lindsey, R-Coldwater. “President Trump has worked tirelessly to revive the American Dream after a disastrous four years under Joe Biden. He has signed 139 executive orders, 39 proclamations and 42 memorandums. He has made more media appearances than any president in recent history, greatly differing from his predecessor. His tenacity has brought America back to our spot at the center of the world stage.”

President Trump has championed numerous historic achievements during the first 100 days, including:

  • Securing the border. Illegal border crossings are down from more than 200,000 per month to less than 7,500.
  • Rebuilding America’s image and once again securing the country’s place on the world stage.
  • Promoting Make America Healthy Again policy changes.
  • Protecting women in sports through executive action.
  • Rebalancing the scales of justice and ending the lawfare policies of Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice against parents and political opponents.
  • Signing the Laken Riley Act and defending Americans from illegal alien recidivism.

“After decisively carrying Michigan in the 2024 election, President Trump has promoted policies that will improve the lives of Michiganders,” Lindsey said. “His agenda will rebuild America’s middle class, and these forgotten men and women will no longer be left behind. His decision to host his 100-day celebration in our state is a clear sign that the president believes Michigan’s success is America’s success.”
