SB 120 – Voter ID and Residency Proof

SB 120 – Voter ID and Residency Proof

Michigan voters should verify who they are and where they live before voting.

Unfortunately, Michigan law currently allows people without identification to vote in our elections by simply signing a form, essentially an honor system.

I believe the integrity of our elections depends on making sure the proper safeguards are in place. That’s why I introduced Senate Bill 120, which would require voters to show valid identification and prove residency to confirm they are eligible to vote.

This measure would strengthen our electoral system by ensuring only eligible residents cast ballots in our state elections.
